Afriplex is a South African company rooted in the development and manufacturing of botanical extracts, complementary medicines and food & beverage product solutions. Our mission is to conceptualise novel CAMS products for key clients, based on scientifically proven safety and efficacy data, manufactured and packed according to cGMP quality standards. We are known for our ability to offer fully-integrated product solutions which include product development, sustainable procurement, manufacturing and comprehensive quality control. We differentiate ourselves by focussing on the specific needs of each client, whether it is for a functional ingredient or final packed product. We also customise our offering by providing certain functions in the supply chain as stand alone services. We offer this comprehensive service to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, veterinary, cosmetic and food & beverage industries. By utilising the resources and expertise we have developed as a product manufacturer, we are able to provide certain functions in the supply chain as stand-alone services. Our in-house laboratories are managed according to GLP principles, allowing us to offer routine analysis on an ongoing basis for our clients. Since the Medicines and Related Substances Act has been amended, making provision for Category D (CAMS) medicines to be registered, Afriplex has been assisting clients with dossier compilation. Our capability to generate the applicable data on active ingredients, to conduct method and process validations and to develop and execute the required stability programs are now accepted as a reliable service to the CAMS industry. With strong emphasis on reliable quality and sustainability, Afriplex invests in agricultural cultivation to ensure the supply of African indigenous products to our clients. Over the years we have built a network of strategic partnerships. These partnerships help us to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality raw material, coupled with a sense of responsibility towards our environment. Clients can also choose to co-own such enterprises, to ensure long-term assurance of raw material quality and availability. By applying cGMP principles, we are advancing to become one of the forerunners in GMP compliant manufacturing. The products we manufacture include a range of active ingredients as well as client specific final packed products and functional solutions. Our manufacturing activities are supported by our integrated Material Resource Planning (MRP) system, allowing direct access to real-time data concerning stock availability, product requirements and progress. This enables us to plan our production for on-time delivery to our clients, every time.
