All rooms are equipped with Air conditioners, coffee and tea station, flat screen television and top speed wireless internet connection. All rooms have twin beds and have en-suite bathroom with double head showers. The breakfast is served around the pool on a big terrace and it is a full breakfast hot and cold, with croissants and home baked breads. Every evening there is a different set menu from Starter, Main to Dessert. If there is anything on the menu that doesn’t suit your taste buds, please do not hesitate to ask for an alternative option and we will have a look and see how we can accommodate you. We are highly rated for our peaceful and relaxing atmosphere during the dinner service and we trust that you will have the same experience. A historic wine tour around the grounds of De Leeuwenhof will start around 18h00 or if a different time has been agreed upon, management will inform you in advance. After this we will enjoy a tasting of the different wines that De Leeuwenhof has collected from various farms in our area. The main part of a Traditional South African Braai is of course the sitting around the fire, with your legs up on the ledge and staring into the flames, while having a delicious glass of wine and good conversation. Tessa, the owner's daughter received us in person in the driveway and organised wine, even though this isn't standard practice. JAMES ELIAS As two friends who try and take off for a week each year from a busy schedule (also by visiting various resorts) we found this a delightful setting in the Paarl district. Run by family members (originally from Holland) it seemed to attract a number of foreign visitors who added to the conversation and atmosphere that evening. The food and service (served alongside the pool on a summer's night) was of high and excellent standard. The whole family is awesome, Dad, Mom, Daughter and son treated us like family all weekend. Food was top notch, drinks by the pool was fabulous, rooms nicely equipped with all you need and more. When we checked out the owner gave us a bottle of his only 200 made Champagne. The Drakenstein farm Watch is a group of dedicated volunteers who strive on quick response. This volunteer driven entity serves the community for emergency cases such as Fire-fighting and a Medical Response, together with the authorities. It is with great honour to represent such a team and as we mainly focus on fire-fighting between November and June, we at De Leewenhof Estate, founders of the Farm Watch, have proudly sponsored the Fire Fighting Unit of the Drakenstein farm Watch together with local Sponsors. The Drakenstein farm watch started as a small group of farmers who went out of their way to help each other, and the local community with any sort of problems. As the need for quick response rose, so did the members of the farm watch. We now have 120 active members who all work together for the good of Paarl, to keep this town as beautiful as it is.
