Rhebokskloof strives for excellence in their winemaking, and this is reflected in their award-winning wines. The initial large piece of land was divided into six different farms between the First and Second World Wars, and sold off. The original farm was only reclaimed in 1986, when new owners bought back the other five farms. An early dwelling on the farm built around 1692 has since been restored as the main homestead. Grapes for the production of Rhebokskloof wines come from the estate itself, as well as other farms in Paarl and surrounding regions. All grapes are harvested by hand and a combination of the latest developments in cellar technology and classic craftmanship methods result in outstanding wines of exceptional quality. Rhebokskloof’s cellar makes use of traditional techniques when creating wine, forgoing extensive technology for time-trusted approaches that yields exceptional wine. Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, situated on the Northern slopes of Paarl Mountain offers some of the most scenic views in the Western Cape. Many local riders from Paarl, Wellington and Franschhoek already know what Paarl Mountain can offer. The eastern slope at the back of the farm has approximately 70 landscaped terraces within this single track- downhill, with many switchbacks which offer superb riding. Rhebokskloof Wine Estate is famous for our picnics, and we have held various picnic events, such as outdoor picnics, moonlight picnics and concert picnics. The estate’s gardens, dam and vineyards form the perfect backdrop to any couple’s most important day. Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, situated in the historic Paarl valley, is nestled between the granite hills of the Paarl Rock Mountains, creating a unique micro-climate. Taste the unique terroir of our secret valley from which springs our celebrated and internationally awarded wines. Ride our singularly spectacular mountain bike trails or take a horseback ride. The Estate is renowned for its top quality wines, which you can sample in our exquisite tasting room situated in the original Cape Dutch building next to the restaurant. We take as much pride in our award winning meals served in the Rhebok Restaurant as we do in our superb function venues and warm winelands hospitality. Rhebokskloof also produces grape juice and olive oil and boasts beautiful examples of Cape Dutch and Victorian architecture.
